BA offers a wide variety of cultural spaces, events and shows which are presented in theatres, museums, cinemas, shows, musical shows, tangos and others according to different kind of tastes and ages.
The most famous of them is the Colon Theatre, which opened its doors in 1908, becoming the third in acoustic on the entire world. The most famous ballet dancers of the world have performed there, such as Barichnicov, Nureiev, Julio Boca, Margot Fontaine, Paloma Herrera, Nijinski, etc. Prima Donnas like Maria Callas, Montserrat Caballé and Great Tenors like José Carreras, Pavorotti, and Placido Domingo; and Orchestra Directors like Toscanini, Zubin Metha, Stravinski and De Raco have performed in this theatre. The most important Operas of the world have been represented there, such as Aida, Rigoletto, Don Giovanni, Norma and Carmen. It is one of the most important historical monuments in Argentina.

Within the culture circuit, we can find the General San Martin Theatre, which offers artistic non-conventional activities, connected to innovation and new technology. It also offers different kinds of conferences and congresses. (Music, photography, letters, cinema and digital art courses, just to mention a few of them). The Recoleta Culture Center, with its 16 exhibiting rooms, shows different kind of activities: contemporary dancing, theatre, photography, etc. Also, we can find exhibitions such as: sculptures, arts, pictures, graphic arts and others.
